1. The "e852arch.sh" program

   The "~e852/bin/e852arch.sh" is available to determine the machine type. It prints the machine type on the standard output, for example, on an SGI machine it prints "mips-irix", on Linux ir prints "i86-linux", etc...

   This machine type is used to setup the PATH env.variable and the E852_MAKETARGET variable.

2. Directories

   • executables: ~e852/bin.i86-linux
   • setup file: ~e852/bin/setup
   • E852_MAKETARGET: linux and linuxo
   • libraries: ~e852/lib.linux and ~e852/lib.linuxo
   • configuration files: ~e852/config-LE
   • LGD shower library: /s/s4/e852/LgdShowerLibrary-LE

3. Instructions on setting up the login environment:

   1. Add the following directory your PATH in .cshrc or .login, in front of ~e852/bin:

      ~e852/bin.`sh ~e852/bin/e852arch.sh`
      	  

   2. In your .login (or .cshrc) file, source the regular E852 setup file- 'source ~e852/setup'
